Before and After pictures from Goodwood
here we used bricks and shattered cement from the builder's rubble containers at the local municipal dump, cost nothing. We use plants that were cultured by myself over a couple of years from cuttings, clippings, leaves and so forth. I had to work around the blue plastic Koi ponds, which are part of the set of mini farming businesses conducted from the property. After some failed attempts at camouflage with reeds and palm leaves I decided on a form and function approach, not to try and disguise them at all.
before and after pictures from Salt River
Succulents just love that rich red clay of Salt River, that famous mountain tailus clay from which the houses of old Cape Town were built. Long live historic Salt River in its present form, and prosper its people.
